I especially loved this once your first child was born and you were gradually crowded out of your office, into itinerancy and stealth. Way to persist! My oldest child (a teen) has taken over the spare, lovely desk that once was mine, so I’m a dining room table worker, too. 😂
Glad you understand the battle! I love my kids, but I often think fondly of that desk, and all that peace and quiet. If only I would have valued it more when I had it... Thank you for reading, Tara!
This is inspiring a piece of writing. I'm so grateful for this space you've created. As a person who spends nearly every day in and out of coffee shops, I really, really loved this.
Thanks man! Means a lot. Glad to hear it resonated. I personally love my coffee shop writing. Especially when I can find a good one that is just quiet enough and where I don’t feel like I’m being a leech when I just hang there for a few hours.
This is great! I love the viewpoint. Thats all I have table and laptop ... Im in a run down hotel an hour north of Johanesburg right now... yeah its super dangerous... but Im tough... and If I die I die... the terror of the danger is like free coffee. Im pushing towards becoming a pampered suberbanite... not there yet.. Gotta keep writing the book !
This sounds just about right to me: "In fact, I’m a little skeptical of people who make too much of a deal about where and how they work."
And thank you for the very kind words, Andrew.
Thank you man. A joy to read your work.

This post is my love language.
Thanks for reading, Jared! Glad you enjoyed it
Love Libby as well, I’m currently listening to the Andy Serkis read versions of The Lord of the Rings
It is an excellent service. I'm shocked that it is free.

Calling it: that Publix is in Brickell. Right off the train station.
Correct! Nice work.
